Dr. Krone is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. She is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Research Manager for the Center of Excellence for ADHD and Related Disorders in the Mount SInai Health System, within the Division of ADHD, Learning Disabilities and Related Disorders in the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Krone is also the Research Manager for the Tourettes Association of America's Center for Excelence at the Mount Sinai Health System. In her current position, Dr. Krone uses her clinical expertise in the neurocognitive, clinical, and diagnostic assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD, oppositional defiance, learning disabilities, mood and anxiety disorders, and associated clinical and functional problems.
Highly regarded by her national and international colleagues, Dr. Krone is on the task force developing the U.S. Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Adults with ADHD. She is on the Executive Board of the American Professional Society for ADHD and Related Disorders, and serves on the Health Equity Task Force to develop evidence-based, culturally relevant and respectful guidelines for assessment and treatment of ADHD.
Dr. Krone is a founding member of the Continuing Education Committee for the Department of Psychology, and a founding member of the Grand Rounds Committee for Psychologist Continuing Education within the Mount SInai Health System. She is a well-regarded educator and provider of Continuing Education for physicians, psychologists,and allied health professionals nationally and internationally, and has more than two decades' experience in pedagogy. She provides didactics, case consultation, direct supervision, and is an invited lecturer within many accredited training programs.
Dr. Krone has received recognition and awards for her own research on the cognitive correlates of functional impairment in ADHD and related disorders. She serves on editorial boards of several well-indexed journals, and has authored dozens of peer-reviewed artilces and prestigious text-books used in professional psychiatry and psychology.

Dr. Krone has been a researcher with the Clinical and Translatational ADHD Research Program at the Center for Excellence for ADHD and Related Disorders since 2008. She is an expert in clinical and neurocognitive characterization of ADHD phenotypes and other cognitive and learning difficulties using clinical assessments and psycho-physiological measures. Her work is applied in the functional neuroimaging studies run throughout the division. Dr. Krone has developed a unique line of research at the intersection of physical illness and social disparities as stressors on the biological system resulting in cognitive sequelae across the lifespan. She has participated in genetic and epigenetic research of ADHD, and presents regularly regarding the innate and adaptive immune associations with ADHD across heritable lines. Dr. Krone has also leads the outcomes reseach for evidence-based interventions with professional students with ADHD.
