Dr. Paka has published widely on minimally-invasive surgical techniques for non-cancerous gynecologic problems, especially concerning complex treatment for endometriosis. She has also published on ultrasound imaging for fecal incontinence. She continues her more recent research on impact of obesity on pelvic floor dysfunction and bladder exstrophy.
