Gonzalo A. Manzano, MD, is an Attending Physician in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Manzano joined Mt. Sinai in 2020.
Dr. Manzano received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2006. He then received his Doctor of Medicine at New York Medical College in 2010. Dr. Manzano completed a residency in Pediatrics at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, where he became Chief Resident in 2013. In 2013, Dr. Manzano won the Resident Teacher of the Year Award.
In 2017, he completed a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Jacobi Medical Center. Since 2017, Dr. Manzano has been an Attending Physician in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, NY.
Dr. Manzano’s primary research focuses on prehospital transportation. He is also interested in pediatric trauma, ultrasound and medical education. He currently serves as the departmental fellowship ultrasound director and instructor.
Dr. Manzno is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
