Dr. Naomi Dreisinger formerly served, as the Director of the Pediatric Emergency Department at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in Manhattan. She has served in this capacity for over 12 years. While there she has been instrumental in the development of a focused program in pediatrics in the ED. Including expansion of the physician hours and requirements, implementing and executing focused pediatric staffing including RNs, PAs, and clerical staff all of whom are comfortable working in a child friendly environment. Dr. Dreisinger also was influential in the enhancement of the EM residency core curriculum in pediatric EM including development of a didactic curriculum and a simulation curriculum. Her focus in the ED expands beyond the PED. Naomi received an MS in Bioethics in 2011. She has used the knowledge acquired in this program to create a curriculum in ethics for EM residents and to use this focus to generate new and exciting opportunities for the EM residency and the hospital both within education and research. Dr. Dreisinger continues to work as an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
