Dr. Shaynna N. Herrera is a licensed clinical psychologist and Instructor of Psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She serves as the Project Director of the Psychosis-Risk Program at Mount Sinai, which is a clinical and research program dedicated to adolescents and young adults who are at risk of developing psychosis. Dr. Herrera received her Bachelor's degree in psychology from Boston University and her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University. She completed her predoctoral psychology internship at the UCLA Semel Institute in the Adolescent Serious Mental Illness Track, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in the Advanced Psychology Fellowship in Mental Health Research and Treatment at James J. Peters VA Medical Center and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She specializes in providing psychoeducation and cognitive behavioral therapy to patients with psychosis-risk and their families.
