Internal Medicine, Hospital MedicineSreekala Raghavan, MD, is the Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mount Sinai Beth Israel (MSBI). She is a clinician educator in general internal medicine (GIM). She received her medical education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. She also served as an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency at Montefiore and later as the Director of Education for the Division of General Internal Medicine at Northwell Health prior to joining MSBI in 2021.
Dr. Raghavan is an active member of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine’s (AAIM) Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine (APDIM) as well as the Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) at both at the national and regional levels. She currently sits on SGIM’s Education Committee and has served as Chair and Co-Chair of various committees at the Mid-Atlantic regional level. She has been recognized for her teaching by being inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society in 2018 for outstanding achievement in medical student teaching. Dr. Raghavan has a passion for general internal medicine and her educational and research interests include resident wellness, resident advising and mentorship, curriculum development, and clinical epidemiology.
