About the Seaver Autism Center
The Seaver Autism Center offers comprehensive assessment and care for people with autism spectrum conditions. Our multisciplinary team of experts uses genetics, molecular biology, model systems, neuroimaging, and experimental therapeutics to treat each patient. We also provide opportunities to participate in an integrated series of research studies aimed at understanding the causes of autism spectrum conditions and developing treatments.
Research
Thanks to state-of-the-art molecular genetic, neurobiological, and clinical resources, we continue to make breakthroughs in multiple aspects of autism spectrum conditions. In addition, our Genetics Program, which combines molecular genetics, functional genetics and now experimental clinical genetics with family studies, continues to drive gene discovery in autism spectrum conditions.
Clinical Services
The Autism Assessment Program provides state-of-the-art genetic evaluation, as well as diagnostic and psychosocial assessment of all patients participating in our autism studies. In addition, the Autism Clinical Program provides the same services to families and offers treatment through psychosocial and medication interventions, coordinating with specialists in other fields to ensure that each patient receives holistic care.
Outreach and Education
In addition to publishing research reports, we share summaries of all of our findings with clinicians, scientists and the public through our outreach and education efforts.
