Cohen's Brain Bits: Looks like Teen Spirit
I have always loved working with adolescents and have made it central to my career as an adolescent headache specialist. With each of my adolescent patients, I dedicate time to speak with them, without parents present, about the sensitive subjects that often dominate their thoughts. Neurologists have long puzzled over the role of different brain regions and their connections in predicting behavior. For experimental, impulsive, and potentially perilous actions, one prime candidate for localization has been the rostrolateral prefrontal cortex (RPC).
