Center For Affective Neuroscience

About Us

At the Center for Affective Neuroscience, our team of researchers and doctors is working to understand the neurobiology of affective illnesses such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and bipolar disorder. We use rodent and primate translational models as well as focused studies of human subjects to increase our understanding of psychiatric diseases.

Our Approach

At The Center for Affective Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we work together and share our ideas early on with our basic and clinical researchers. This approach improves our research and helps us move our findings from the laboratory to the exam room more quickly and effectively.
