Description

Neurologic deficits caused by degenerative spine pathology are very common. This research study aims to create a database of patients who suffer from neurologic deficits caused by degenerative spine pathology. Essentially this database will allow surgeons to better educate patients regarding surgical outcomes.  It may also change how surgeons approach patients with certain deficits based on risk factors and time of onset of the deficit. We will attempt to identify specific risk factors for development and recovery of neurologic deficits secondary to degenerative spinal pathology.  We will also attempt to identify the optimum time of surgery for these patients and describe the timing of recovery following decompression.
