Advancing Clinical Breakthroughs to Prevent and Eradicate Cancer

The mission of the Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center is to accelerate the prevention and treatment of cancer, improving the lives of cancer patients and their families in our communities. As a National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, we leverage a multidisciplinary approach to research and treatment—with the goal of advancing clinical breakthroughs that transform patient care.

Established in 2008 as The Tisch Cancer Institute, the Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center encompasses a distinguished faculty of more than 150 prominent scientists and physicians. Together, we have developed research programs that build upon Mount Sinai Health System’s legacy of biomedical discovery, outstanding patient care, and innovative medical and scientific training. We collaborate across disciplines to advance novel treatments, such as immunotherapy, that offer hope for those living with cancer.

We translate our world-class research into the most innovative and promising patient care. Our highly trained physicians and other practitioners have expertise in all cancer types and provide advanced treatment and follow-up care, from diagnosis through survivorship.

We boast Centers of Excellence that feature novel research, clinical trials, and coordinated clinical care teams for a seamless patient experience. Additionally, we provide our neighboring communities with cancer prevention, screening, education, and treatment, including access to clinical trials.
