Mount Sinai Pediatric Dentistry Residency Requirements
Applicants must have a Bachelor of Arts or science degree, be a graduate of a US school of dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency Program prior to beginning the training program. The applicant should have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement during college and dental school. Completion of a postgraduate general practice or AEGD residency and or clinical work experience is strongly encouraged. Extracurricular activities demonstrating leadership and organizational skills are looked upon favorably. Interested third and fourth year dental students are encouraged to apply for externship opportunities. A minimum of a full one-week commitment is required along with all necessary documentation. Please e-mail the residency coordinator, David Andrews at email@example.com for requests for externship.
Mount Sinai is a participant in PASS, as well as the National Resident Matching Program. Interviews will be conducted on an invitation-only basis and generally arranged in the first week of December. Visiting the program without prior approval is strongly discouraged. The department of pediatric dentistry offers four positions each year, with a total of eight residents. Residents will be required to live within close proximity of the medical center and or make arrangements to be easily available for on call duties. All incoming residents will be on call the first weekend of July.
