The Samuel Bronfman Department of Medicine

The Samuel Bronfman Department of Medicine is the largest academic department at The Mount Sinai Health System. Our mission is to provide unparalleled patient care, conduct cutting-edge research and train tomorrow’s physicians. Our faculty and staff across 12 divisions are dedicated to science and medicine, to improving outcomes for patients through breakthroughs in the lab, and to molding the next generation of health care professionals. We are ranked in the top 20 of funding by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Our residency program is both highly competitive and highly respected. This impact of the work we do in the Department of Medicine has far reaching effects on every aspect of patient care, research and education and we are proud to play such a critical role within this institution.
