Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a board eligible/certified neurologist for a Neurocritical Care fellowship position. This two-year position meets all of the requirements outlined by the United Council of Neurological Specialties and will allow for certification at the completion of the fellowship.

The Mount Sinai Neurosciences ICU (NSICU) is a 16 bed unit that is staffed by both neurology, medicine and anesthesia-trained intensivists. The unit offers a broad range of teaching expertise in a multidisciplinary setting. Mount Sinai is an accredited stroke center that offers full service neurointerventional care and treats all types of neurologic critical illnesses.

Fellows gain proficiency in ultrasound-guided central venous and arterial line placement, PA catheter placement, lumbar puncture, endotracheal intubation, ventilator management, EEG interpretation, and bronchoscopy. Additionally, we offer weekly critical care conferences, a statistics course and research oriented didactics. Our program enables fellows to spend time in the surgical ICU and complete a line service rotation. Elective time is available to pursue research interests or to rotate through other services such as neuroanesthesia, stroke, or the medical ICU.
