Department of Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry is a vibrant community of clinicians, researchers, educators, and trainees committed to discovering the causes of and treatments for mental and emotional disorders. We are ranked among the nation’s top psychiatry departments for funding from NIH. In addition, U.S. News & World Report recognizes The Mount Sinai Hospital as one of the top regional hospitals for this specialty.

Organized around key specialized treatment centers and programs that link academic thought leaders to clinicians, our goal is to bring breakthrough treatments from clinical neuroscience research into today’s clinical care. Our programs offer a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services for conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder, autism, and OCD.  Learn more
