The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Training Program (OMS) at The Mount Sinai Hospital provides the best training and education in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a commitment to academic excellence and premier patient care. The training program aspires to have graduates who are enthusiastic about their career in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, committed to continued learning, and are highly skilled, ethical, and compassionate caregivers. We seek to maintain faculty and affiliations that achieve our training program objectives and meet all accreditation standards for Advanced Specialty Education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Our Residency Program offers two training tracks, a four-year certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a six-year training track in which students receive a medical degree is from the Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. Both residency programs are fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and designed to meet and exceed the board certification requirements of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Residents receive training at leading New York City hospitals, which include The Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens, James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, and Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital in Manhattan.
