Organizational Service Package
Consultation
The Mount Sinai Medical Center EAP provides a consultation service to managers, supervisors and union representatives. The consultation service is a resource to organizational leaders concerned about the health, well being and productivity of employees. This can include performance-based issues, crisis management, employee risk assessments and fitness for duty evaluations. The EAP staff works closely with managers and supervisors to resolve a range of complex organizational concerns. Consequently, the EAP functions as an important adjunct to your Human Resources Department. The consultation service is telephone-based and easily accessible.
Crisis Response Program
The EAP counseling staff is trained in the techniques of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Consequently, The Mount Sinai Medical Center EAP can help organizations respond to a range of crises, including accidents, unanticipated death, suicide, natural disaster, and acts of mass violence. The EAP has the capacity to conduct general informational meetings, individual counseling sessions, small group debriefings, psychological triage and other risk reduction interventions. The Crisis Response Program is a coordinated response to the needs of both organizations and employees during episodes of extreme stress.
Training
The Mount Sinai Medical Center EAP routinely trains managers and supervisors in the techniques of performance-based identification and constructive confrontation. These tested cost saving techniques are designed to help managers identify and intervene in situations involving troubled employees. The EAP also provides workshops on sexual harassment and drug free workplace programs. Clearly, our staff can work with your Human Resources Department to develop strategies and programs that promote effective management and improve organizational performance.
