General Information

The Mount Sinai Department of Emergency Medicine has full, independent department status in both the medical school and the hospital. In December of 2004 we were awarded full accreditation for 8 years, until 2012.

Academic funding translates into $1000 per resident over the course of their residency for books, conferences and other relevant expenses. The department covers expenses for regional and national meetings when residents present or sit on committees. The department pays for memberships to SAEM, ACEP, and AAEM.
