Curriculum
Those graduating from a pediatric residency program will take part in the following rotations during their three-year fellowship (each block is a four-week period):
- Pediatric Emergency Medicine (13 blocks)
- Adult Emergency Medicine (2 blocks)
- Trauma (1 block)
- Anesthesia (1 block)
- Toxicology (1 block)
- PICU (1 block)
- EMS (0.5 block)
- Emergency Ultrasound (0.5 block)
- Research (13 blocks)
- Elective (3 blocks)
- Vacation (3 blocks – 1 per year)
Those graduating from an emergency medicine residency program will take part in the following rotations during their two-year fellowship (each block is a four-week period):
- Pediatric Emergency Medicine (13 blocks)
- Trauma (1 block)
- Anesthesia (1 block)
- NICU (1 block)
- PICU (2 blocks)
- Ambulatory Pediatrics (1 block)
- Research (3 blocks)
- Elective (2 blocks)
- Vacation (2 blocks – 1 per year)
Educational conferences occur three times per month and include Case Conference, Journal Club, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Core Lectures, Evidence-Based Medicine, Simulation, Administration, and Quality Improvement.
