Neurosurgery Research Programs and Labs

The Neurosurgery Department at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is exploring new ways to improve the treatment of a range of neurological diseases and conditions. Our research initiatives include neurosurgical simulation, gene therapy, stem cell research, deep brain stimulation, minimally invasive approaches to skull base surgery, and more. We receive financial support from the National Institutes of Health, grants from other health organizations, and private donations.
