Neurosurgery Residency Training Program
The Department of Neurosurgery accepts applicants through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
The Department accepts applications between September 1st and October 15th. Only applications that contain the following will be reviewed:
- Personal statement
- Three letters of recommendation
- Medical school transcript
- USMLE scores
- Dean’s letters are received on November 1st and attached to each application
After a review of the applications, the Department will select which candidates it would like to setup an in person interview with. Invitations for these interviews will be sent out in the month of November via email. Should you be invited to interview you will receive an email. Interviews are scheduled to take place between November and February 1st.
Applicants and programs submit their rankings to the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) in mid-February.
Applicants and programs are notified of the match results by the NRMP on Match Day in mid-March.
The Department will consider residents who have been issued a J-1 Visa and who hold a current ECFMG Certificate.
