Our physicians, nurses, physicists, radiation therapists, and support staff are united in their efforts to provide the most compassionate and advanced cancer care available to every patient.
Radiation therapy is one of the most effective treatments available to fight cancer. It can be used in three general settings:
- As the only treatment to remove the cancer
- In combination with surgery, chemotherapy, and/or hormonal therapy
- To relieve symptoms associated with cancer
Our professionals have access to the highest level of technology, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy, Novalis-shaped beam radiosurgery, real-time ultrasound guided prostate seed implants, and MammoSite®, a targeted radiation therapy that provides maximal sparing of normal tissues.
