This year we will again be participating in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Only applications submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) will be accepted and considered.
To apply, you should contact your medical school’s Dean’s office to access ERAS. After reviewing your completed application, we will send invitations to interview via email.
Applications should include:
- Your up-to-date curriculum vitae
- Three letters of reference – at least one must be from a practicing radiation oncologist
- Dean’s Letter
- Your medical school transcript
- Step 1 and Step 2 (if available) scores
- A personal statement
There are a total of three interview sessions which are held in November, December and January. Interviews take a full day and include one-on-one meetings with various faculty and lunch with our current residents.
We offer interviews to approximately 30 candidates per year. We accept one to two PGY2 positions per year through the NRMP.
Current medical students are invited to explore radiation oncology by applying for an elective rotation. Applications from students outside of Icahn School of Medicine are only accepted via the Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS).
