Teaching Facilities

The three hospitals participating in the training program are: The Mount Sinai Medical Center (MSMC), Elmhurst Hospital Center (EHC), and the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). All of the affiliated hospitals are within 30 minutes drive of the main campus, which is located at MSMC. Inter-hospital transportation is facilitated by the availability of a regularly scheduled shuttle bus service that operates between MSMC and EHC and MSMC and the VAMC. The program's affiliated hospitals have more than 120 inpatient rehabilitation beds. These rehabilitation units admit more than 1,000 disabled individuals to their services each year and account for more than 250,000 outpatient visits annually.
