Tuition and Fees

The cost of education at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is partially covered by tuition and other student fees. A major portion of the School's operating cost is defrayed by contributions from individuals and foundations and by grants from various governmental agencies. The following are estimates of tuition and fees for the academic year, 2012-13:

MD tuition is charged per semester as a flat fee, not charged by the hour. MD students will pay a minimum of 8 Semesters of MD tuition.

*MGC and MSBS programs consist of three semesters of tuition (Fall/Spring/Fall). The tuition costs listed above is the tuition for the first two semesters (Fall/Spring)
**Tuition costs assume program completion in two years. Actual tuition costs vary based on credits taken per term.

***Cost of Living Allowance reflects ISMMS housing. MSBS/MPH/MSCR/PhD-CR students may not have access to ISMMS housing, COLA may be adjusted to reflect documented housing costs.

Full payment of tuition is due 14 days into each term of enrollment. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to revise all fees, including tuition.
