BioMedical Engineering Resource
The BioMedical Engineering Resource (B'MER) is a shared resource facility (SRF) designed to provide expertise in developing laboratory instrumentation and research devices. The B'MER facility is also happy to help extend the useful life of current facilities with the maintenance of lab equipment.
Brian Wu is an electronics engineer with expertise in building analog and digital circuitry for a variety of devices for research applications. He can design customized circuits for measuring various parameters as well as amplifiers for detecting minute signals.
Phil Cook is a biomedical engineer with experience in design, fabrication, modification and repair of a wide range of research equipment. His strong background in mechanics allows him to develop a variety of devices for solving research problems. He also has expertise in glass blowing.
Brian and Phil work together to find novel solutions to difficult problems. Their diagnostic abilities allow them to detect and repair a wide range of problems. When parts are no longer available, they can fabricate replacement assemblies or adapt new technology allowing them to maintain equipment that is no longer supported by manufactures.
Rates: $55/hour (Materials supplied by user)
PLEASE REMEMBER -- For funding purposes, it is important to acknowledge the BioMedical Engineering Shared Resource Facility in all publications that include data derived from the facility.
