Additional benefits—some with limited eligibility—are listed below:

Grant-in-Aid is a benefit available to full-time faculty at the ranks of Associate Professor and Professor. It is designed to cover all or some portion of the tuition, fees, and living expenses of dependent children who are enrolled in a full-time course of study leading to a baccalaureate or other degree of higher learning. Grant-in-Aid is a taxable benefit.

Mount Sinai’s Relocation Financing Program is available to full-time faculty recruits at the rank of Assistant Professor and higher. If spouses are eligible recruits, only one request will be approved. You must meet distance eligibility requirements and your relocation must be completed within three months of salaried employment. The policy description and application explain eligibility requirements, qualifying expenses, procedures, etc.

This voluntary program provides a flexible, convenient, low cost way to save for college for a child, grandchild, or friend. Your investment can be used to pay for tuition, room and board, books, supplies, and other qualified higher education expenses. The program is administered by Upromise Investment, Inc. Contributions to this plan are deducted automatically from your paycheck, and you should consult your tax advisor regarding tax advantages. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides free, confidential short-term counseling services to Mount Sinai employees and your covered dependents. Licensed social workers trained provide counseling services to individuals in need of personal assistance provide counseling. EAP is located at 19 East 98th Street, Third Floor, Suite 3A. The Center for Stress, Resilience and Personal Growth provides resilience training workshops, individual support, and up to 14 sessions of treatment to MSHS employees including faculty.
