Recreation

New York City is the cultural capital of the world. The Mount Sinai Hospital itself is located on "Museum Mile," a 20-block stretch along Fifth Avenue where many of New York’s best and most famous museums are located; the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of the City of New York, the Jewish Museum, the National Academy of Design, and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum are all within a mile of the Hospital. The Hospital runs a Recreation Office where tickets for Broadway shows, sporting events, and trips can be obtained at a considerable discount. The neighborhood’s greatest resource, though, is Central Park; the Hospital overlooks the park, with its many acres of fields, trails, jogging paths, woods, and ponds available for us to enjoy.
