Message From the Directors

Treating liver cancer requires the coordinated effort of a team of specialists who create and carry out a treatment plan that considers the extent of the cancer, the function of the liver, and the general condition and wishes of the patient. Our Fellowship aims to create the leaders of these teams.

Our Liver Cancer Program is now the largest clinical program in the United States, with over 400 new patients seen annually, and we are internationally acclaimed for our basic, translational, and clinical research. Our hepatology, medical oncology, interventional and diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology, pathology, hepatobiliary, and transplant surgery teams all boast widely-recognized experts. More importantly, we foster collaborative relationships that place the well-being of our patients as our highest priority.

We are proud of the legacy we are building, and our fellows will gain an in-depth understanding of the workings of the program as well as awareness of the state-of-the-art approaches in each of the related specialties, all of which will position them to become the future academic and clinical leaders of multidisciplinary liver cancer programs around the world.
