BioSERVE
From the BioSERVE Portal, you can request the following services:
- Use of the BioMe Biobank Repository as part of your research protocol
- Retrieval of BioMe samples and/or deidentified clinical data
- Letters of support for federal and non-federal research grant applications
Use of the BioMe Biobank Repository as part of your research protocol
To obtain IRB approval, you may be asked to provide an Honest Broker letter from the Principal Investigator of the BioMe Biobank Program, Dr. Erwin Bottinger. This letter will certify that samples being provided to you as part of your research protocol, will be given with a unique barcode and stripped of all identifiers.
Retrieval of BioMe Biobank samples and/or deidentified clinical data
When requesting BioMe Samples and/or BioMe clinical data, you will be asked to provide to a short project description, IRB determination letter or IRB approval letter and a copy of your IRB-approved research protocol. Once the request form is completed, a cost estimate and a quote number will be generated for you. Retrieval time of samples is dependent upon your sample size request.
Letters of Support
Letters of Support are prepared for interesting, innovative federal and non-federal research applications. The project description should include specific aims.
