National Cancer Institute Mentored Clinical Scientist Award 
Title: The Role of IGF-1 Signaling in Mammary Cell Survival and Migration (PI: Irie) 

The project aims to identify novel mechanisms and substrates of Akt isoforms (1 and 2) responsible for their contrasting roles in IGF-1 stimulated breast cancer cell invasion using candidate-based methods as well as discovery platforms. The project also aims to identify novel candidates responsible for IGF-1 stimulated breast cancer cell survival and invasion.
