Radiation Safety Committee, Subcommittee for Human Research (RSC Subcommittee)
All protocols involving ionizing radiation exposure to human subjects are subject to RSC Subcommittee review. RSC approval is required prior to IRB review. The RSC Analyst in the PPHS office facilitates the review process, ensuring that the appropriate level of review is conducted in a parallel review to the IRB review of the research.
RSC Subcommittee Contact:
The RSC Analyst works with the IRB Analysts to facilitate the review of research protocols involving the use of ionizing radiation; this includes educating investigators on the use of the dosimetry chart and obtaining additional information from investigators on behalf of the RSC Subcommittee.
