Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West

As a service to House Staff (interns, residents, and fellows), as well as other professional staff, Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West maintain two apartment buildings in Midtown Manhattan.

Housing offers are made to new, incoming trainees in ACGME-accredited programs based at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West. The order in which applicants are assigned to available apartments is determined by their occupancy group, and the Mount Sinai Health System Lottery.

Housing applications are accepted electronically a few days after the results of Match Day have been announced. The specific open date and deadline for newly hired House Staff to submit a housing application will be provided via an online checklist from the Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME).

A housing offer is guaranteed to those who submit a completed housing application by the deadline given in the GME Office checklist. A housing offer will be made, as space allows, to others who complete the application by the deadline. Applications received after the deadline will be handled on a first come, first serve basis after processing those applications received by the deadline.

An off-campus housing resources list is also available for your use in exploring other housing options.
