Entrance and Exit Interviews

Students issued loans from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai institutional funds as well as recipients of Federal Stafford Loans must complete an ENTRANCE  interview form when they sign their first loan award, which discusses the rights and responsibilities that pertain to the loans.

All students who have been recipients of loans during their career at Icahn School of Medicine must attend an EXIT interview. The exit interviews are held in the spring for May graduates. Students leaving Icahn School of Medicine prior to graduation or for those students graduating in the summer or fall must schedule their own exit interview with the Director of Financial Aid. During exit interviews, the amount of money borrowed, the terms of repayment, and deferments are discussed along with the rights and responsibilities that pertain to the loans.
