AAMC/Executive Curriculum Committee

The ECC is a Dean’s committee charged with reviewing and approving all curricular content and changes. There are four student representatives on the committee. A first year student chosen is for a 4-year term. The students are voting members. Meetings are monthly, 1-2 p.m. on Fridays.

Student representatives to the Executive Curriculum Committee for the Medical School are involved in reviewing pre-clinical courses, clerkships, and proposed changes to the curriculum. Students meet regularly with faculty and administration to discuss student feedback and proposed changes.  Additionally, the ECC reps will attend the annual AAMC conference as Mount Sinai student representatives. The events at the meeting will be presented to the Student Council and likely will require follow-up within the school.
