Students with Traumatic Brain Injury: Identification, Assessment,
and Classroom Accommodations
This 17-page brochure is intended to provide a general overview of how schools can best meet the needs of students with TBI. It is not an in-depth training manual, but instead highlights what educators and advocates for children with TBI need to know about maximizing the educational experiences of students who have suffered an injury to the brain. These children need to be identified in schools, assessed appropriately and taught in ways that fully address their cognitive and behavioral challenges, while capitalizing on their strengths.
