About Us

We offer the Mount Sinai community and our partners’ impactful solutions through the use of health technologies and brand awareness as a health pioneer and innovation leader. Our mix of expertise allows for a marriage of product development and research design that results in quality publications, high user reviews, and increased requests for collaboration.

The Center for Digital Health was founded by Director Yvonne Chan, MD in 2014, serving as an invaluable resource to the greater Mount Sinai Health System community as it meets the growing need for digital health technology research and development.

In 2015, in partnership with Sage Bionetworks and the Respiratory Institute at Mount Sinai, our team created the Asthma Mobile Health Application. The app was one of the original five launch partners to use Apple’s ResearchKit framework. In January 2018, working with Mount Sinai’s Institute of Personalized Medicine , the team released an electronic platform for eligible participants to consent and enroll in the BioMe Biobank program.

At the Center for Digital Health, we offer:

  • Technology platforms developed for automation and digitalization of clinical processes
  • Clinical research mobile app and website development
  • Research study design and implementation
  • Collaboration for the publication of research findings
  • IRB and regulatory expertise
