The Mission

The Data Center provides an innovative integration of community-focused research, medical informatics, and epidemiology by partnering with other CONDUITS Institutes, such as the Center for Biomedical Informatics, the Center for Disease Prevention, and the Public Health Institute. Consistent with federal efforts such as Data.gov, the Data Center has created a dynamic set of diverse data sets, which are available for creative and meaningful analyses. The Vision

The Data Center places full focus on making existing population- and community-specific data available to expand the range of community-partnered research activities that can be undertaken and to stimulate the development of community-based public health informatics (CBPHI) activities. The Data Center increases the availability and accessibility of secondary data for community-based and academic researchers interested in questions of community and public health.

The Data Center has integrated federal and national data sets, local health and public health data, and available data from Mount Sinai researchers. The Data Center is available to community members and organizations, community-focused researchers, those needing preliminary data for grant proposals, our national Clinical Translational Science Award consortium members, and others interested in the analysis of community and population data.
