The fellow will participate in at least one ongoing clinical research project under the close guidance of a research preceptor. Ideally, a mentor will be chosen and project designed prior to matriculation. The fellow will be instrumental in navigating an Institutional Review Board review. A mentor with expertise appropriate for the project will meet regularly with the fellow to assess progress and provide direction. The fellow will be expected in the course of the year to execute a clinical study that can be published during or soon after the fellowship year.
