Biography
- Dr. Fishman is a board-certified dermatologist in private practice in the Soho section of New York City. In addition, she was the consulting dermatologist for Merrill Lynch at their corporate headquarters in New York City for three years.
Dr. Fishman graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a BA in Romance Languages and Literature, followed by a Medical Degree from NYU School of Medicine. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and her dermatology training at Albert Einstein School of Medicine, where she was Chief Resident. In addition, she has completed advanced Fellowship training in Melanoma and Pigmented Lesions at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School and has authored peer reviewed publications on Melanoma.
Dr. Fishman is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the Dermatologic Society of New York.
She has been featured in In Style and Real Simple magazines, and has served as a consultant for both Skinceuticals and Vichy.
Dr. Fishman has a wide range of patients in an ethnically diverse practice, and is interested in both cosmetic dermatology and medical dermatology, especially treatment of acne and the prevention of skin cancer. In addition, she is personally interested in the cosmeceutical market and emerging therapies to treat photodamage. Lastly, Dr. Fishman believes going to the dermatologist should be a positive experience, and encourages her patients to feel good about themselves.
Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their relationships with such companies.
