Jason Kanos, MD is a board-certified OBGYN doctor at Mount Sinai Doctors, seeing patients Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in Midtown West. Trained in Florida and Pennsylvania, he is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. After graduating Southern Methodist University with honors, he was awarded his medical degree from the University of Florida and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University. Prior to joining Mount Sinai Doctors, Dr. Kanos served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. In 2007, he was appointed the Director of the Quality Improvement Program for the St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. He has a particular interest in obstetrics and gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, with a cesarean section rate lower than the national average.
