Biography
- Dr. Celebi completed her dermatology residency training at Columbia University’s College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York. She joined the faculty at Columbia University in 1998 and completed translational and basic science research training in cancer genetics. Dr. Julide Celebi is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards; the Housestaff Award for Clinical Research at Columbia University, the Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Program Award, the Dermatology Foundation’s Clinical Career Development Award, and the Irving Scholarship. In addition, Dr. Celebi is the recipient of the Skin Cancer Foundation’s Frederick E. Mohs Memorial Award, NIH Mentored Clinical Scientist Award, and numerous Foundation and NIH grants for her groundbreaking work on melanoma. Her laboratory studies molecular genetics of melanoma and is located at the Hess Center.
She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Society for Investigative Dermatology, American Association for Cancer Research, Society for Melanoma Research, and New York Dermatologic Society.
Dr. Celebi’s dermatology expertise includes:
Moles and Melanoma: skin cancer screening, melanoma risk assessment and surveillance, state-of-the-art imaging systems such as mole mapping, dermoscopy and MelaFind.
General Dermatology
Cosmetic Dermatology: Botox and filler injections, chemical peels and laser surgery.
