Kathy F. Navid
- ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (PENDING) Medicine, General Internal Medicine
American Board of Internal Medicine
MD, Tulane University Medical Center
Residency, Internal Medicine
Tulane University Medical Center
- I am an internal medicine
physician with a special focus in hospital medicine. I am board
certified in internal medicine and have 12 years of experience caring for
complicated inpatients as well as outpatients. I am able to help patients
and families navigate the hospital system thanks to my involvement in the medical
education of residents and students, quality improvement and leadership roles
in different hospitals. Delivering high-quality care to my own inpatients and
improving the care of all hospitalized patients at Mount Sinai Queens is the
most satisfying part of my job.
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their relationships with such companies.
Dr. Navid has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai's faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website at http://icahn.mssm.edu/about-us/services-and-resources/faculty-resources/handbooks-and-policies/faculty-handbook. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
