- Dr. Cohen is Professor of Psychiatry at the Carl Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and serves as Supervising Psychologist at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Dr. Cohen divides her time between teaching, clinical work and clinical research. Dr. Cohen obtained her A.B. and B.F.A. at the University of Michigan and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the City University of New York. She completed her predoctoral psychology internship at St. Luke's Hospital.
ResearchDr. Cohen has engaged in clinical research in a broad range of psychiatric domains, including obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, childhood trauma--victims and perpetrators, psychological assessment and personality disorders. Her main current interest in the relationship between childhood trauma and personality pathology.
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their relationships with such companies.
Dr.Cohen is not currently required to report Industry relationships.
