Biography

    Dr. Tartter attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, from 1969 to 1977 and received Bachelor of Science and Medical Degrees. He did his surgical training at Mount Sinai Medical Center and completed his chief residencey in 1982. He joined the faculty of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and rose to the rank of Associate Professor. He became the Chief of the Breast Service at Mount Sinai in 1989 and served in that capacity until 1999 when he moved to the Comprehensive Breast Center at Roosevelt Hospital Center where he is Senior Attending in Surgery. He was given the rank of Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in 1999 and is now Assocaite Clinical Professor of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
