Biography

    Dr. Kuwama graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Tokyo in 1987. He initially completed the surgery residency in the program of the University of Tokyo. Then he joined the internal medicine residency program of Beth Israel Medial Center in New York in 1993.
    He experienced many teaching assignments both in Japan and in the USA. He was awarded Dr. Stuart C. Alexander Award, Most Outstanding Medical House Officer, at the internal medicine residency program of Beth Israel Medial Center in New York in 1996. He was inducted to Leo M. Davidoff Society for providing high quality teaching at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York in 2006.
    He has been the medical director at the Japanese Medical Practice of Mount Sinai Beth Israel since 2000 and he has been serving to Japanese communities in greater New York area. He has appeared to Japanese TV programs as a health commentator for many times and has been contributing many health articles to journals of the community. He also is contributing actively to publishing medical textbooks in Japan.
