Dr. Sampson’s experience in research is extensive.  Her main area of interest is the molecular investigation of sudden cardiac death.  She also oversees the autopsy component of Mount Sinai’s involvement with RECOVER, the NIH funded initiative to learn about the long-term effects of Covid and participates in other hospital-wide efforts studying aortopathies and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
