Erica Bang, MD

Dr Bang attended medical school at a 7-year medical school program Sophie Davis Biomedical School of Education. She completed her last two years of medical school at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr Bang continued at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completed a combined 5-year Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine residency program. Afterwards, Dr. Bang had pursued a fellowship in Critical Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City in which she had spent her last year as chief ICU fellow. Dr. Bang is triple board certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care and serves as an ED-ICU liaison here at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Dr. Bang is focused on fusing both ER and ICU concepts in managing the acutely ill, undifferentiated patient. Her current interests lie in ED-ICU flow and QI projects emphasizing processes that will streamline hospital wide measures for improvement. Dr. Bang is also core faculty and involved in residency education and development.
