Harry D Fischer MD is chief of the Division of Rheumatology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
Dr Fischer recieved his undergraduate degree from The University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his internship and residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel where he also served as chief resident. Dr Fischer completed his fellowship in rheumatic diseases at the Hospital for Joint Diseases. As a fellow he was am,oung the first to describe the rheumatic manifestations of HIV infection. He is a fellow of The American College of Physicians and The American College of Rheumatology .He has served as president of the New York Rheumatism Association and has been a member of the governing board of the New York Chapter of The Arthritis Foundation.
Dr Fischer holds an academic appointment of Associate Professor of Medicine at TheIcahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. At Mount Sinai Beth Israel he has served as president of the medical board and secretary of the Doctors' Alumni Association.
Dr Fischer has been recognized as a "Best Doctor in New York Magazine and a "Super Doctor " in The New York Times Magazine .
