Santosh Uppu, MD is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Kravis Children's Hospital at Mount Sinai and Director of the Congenital/pediatric Cardiac MRI Program at the Children's Heart Center. He completed his residency in internal-medicine and pediatrics from Albert Einstein medical center, Philadelphia, and his cardiology fellowship from Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 2012. Dr. Uppu was recruited to our lab after excelling in his fourth year advanced fellowship in advanced multimodality imaging at the Mount Sinai Hospital (2012-2013). He is proficient in all imaging modalities including echocardiography, fetal cardiology and has a special expertise in cardiac MRI and congenital CT. He is one of the select few physicians who are board certified in Adult Congenital heart disease and is involved in caring adult patients with congenital heart diseases. He is actively involved in education and his research interests are in imaging outcomes, congenital cardiac advanced imaging including cardiac MRI and CT.
